From Italian futuro, French futur, English future, German Futur, all ultimately from Latin futūrus, irregular future active participle of sum (I am), from Proto-Indo-European *bʰuH- (to become, be). Compare similar IAL derivations like Ido futuro, Interlingue futuro, Volapük fütür.
