Centre paves way for benefit of reservation in promotions for its 'divyangjan' staffers
The Indian government has announced that employees with benchmark disabilities (divyangjans) will now be eligible for reservation in promotions. The eligible staff will be considered for promotions on a "notional basis" with effect from June 30, 2016, according to the personnel ministry. The promotion benefits will be granted up to the lowest rung of Group 'A'.

Public sector banks could recover only 14 per cent of the written-off loans worth Rs 7.34 lakh crore in the last five years ending March 2022, Parliament was informed on Tuesday. Of Rs 7.34 lakh crore written-off loans, state-owned lenders recovered Rs 1.03 lakh crore, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
