Vaccinium vitis-idaea (crowpert) is a short evergreen shrub in the heath faimily that bears edible fruit, native tae boreal forest an Arctic tundra throuoot the Northren Hemisphere frae Eurasie tae North Americae. Thay are picked in the wild an uised tae accompany a variety o dishes in Northren Baltoscandia.[2] Commercial cultivation is unnertaken in the U.S. Pacific Northwast.[3]
