A fishing line is a thin flexible string or line intended for angling. It can be made from any of a number of materials. Monofilament is the most common.[1] It is made from a single fiber of plastic. Fishing line is rated for its breaking strength, castability, and knot strength. Abrasion resistance is another good quality of a fishing line.
