Jim Rodford

James Walter "Jim" Rodford (7 July 1941 – 20 January 2018) was an English musician and singer. Rodford was born in Hertfordshire, England.

Rodford played bass guitar for several British rock groups. He was a founding member of Argent, which was led by his cousin Rod Argent. He was the bass guitarist for the Kinks from 1978 until they disbanded in 1996.

In 2004, he joined the reunited the Zombies, whom he had been closely associated with since the early 1960s, and remained a member until his death in 2018. He was also a member of the Swinging Blue Jeans and the Kast Off Kinks.

Rodford died on 20 January 2018 of complications from a fall at the age of 76.[1]
