Luigi Simoni

Luigi "Gigi" Simoni (22 January 1939 – 22 May 2020) was an Italian football player and manager. He was born near Bologna, Italy.

He played for A.S.D. Mantova F.C., S.S.C. Napoli, Torino F.C., Juventus F.C., Brescia Calcio and Genoa C.F.C.. His playing career lasted from 1959 to 1974. He was known for managing Napoli and Inter Milano. His managing career lasted from 1974 to 2012.

Simoni died at his home on 22 May 2020 in Pisa, Italy from stroke-related problems, aged 81.[1]
