Mario Segale

Mario A. Segale (April 30, 1934 – October 27, 2018) was an American businessman and real estate developer.[1] He was born in Seattle, Washington. He was involved in mant development projects in the Seattle area beginning in the 1950s.[2] Nintendo's Mario character is named after him because he owned the land where Nintendo's earliest headquarters was in.[3]

Segale died on 27 October 2018 at his home in Tukwila, Washington, aged 84.[4]
