The Miyakoan language (宮古口/ミャークフツ Myākufutsu/Myākufutsї [mjaːkufutss̩] or 島口/スマフツ Sumafutsu/Sїmafutsї) is a Ryukyuan language spoken in the Miyako Islands of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.[1][2]

As most of its speakers are over the age of 60, it's assumed that Miyako has anywhere between 10,000-15,000 speakers.[1]
