Rainer Basedow (20 May 1938 – 15 May 2022) was a German actor. He was known for having provided the German voice dub of Pumbaa in the Lion King franchise.[1] He also dubbed John Belushi as Jake Blues in The Blues Brothers and Sergeant Harley in The Jungle Book.[2]

Basedow died on 15 May 2022 at a hospital in Salzburg, Austria from a heart attack, five days before his 84th birthday.[3][4]
