Sergio Varisco

Sergio Varisco (10 July 1960 – 27 May 2021) was an Argentine politician and member of the Radical Civic Union. He was a member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2005 to 2009, and mayor of Paraná from 1999 to 2003, and 2015 to 2019.

On 30 December 2019, he was sentenced to six and a half years in prison as a "necessary participant" in the crime of drug marketing, money laundering and drug trafficking.[1]

Varisco died on 27 May 2021, aged 60, from pneumonia.[2]
