Willi Holdorf

Willi Holdorf (17 February 1940 — 5 July 2020) was a West German athlete. In 1964, he won the first Olympic gold medal for Germany in decathlon and was named German Sportspersonality of the Year. He was born in Blomesche Wildnis, Germany.[1]

Holdorf died on 5 July 2020 at his home in Achterwehr, Germany from an illness, aged 80.[2]
