William Vance was the pen name of William van Cutsem (8 September 1935 – 14 May 2018), a Belgian comics artist. He was born in Anderlecht, Belgium. Vance was known for his distinctive realistic style and work in Franco-Belgian comics.[1] His best known works were XIII, Bob Morane, Bruce J. Hawker and Bruno Brazil.

Vance died on 14 May 2018 in Santander, Spain of Parkinson's disease at the age of 82.[2] In 2010, Vance retired because of the illness.
