Intel Core 2

K Intel CPU patria aj procesory Core 2. Core 2 označuje skupinu mobilných a desktopových dvoj- a štvorjadrových 64-bitových x86 procesorov od Intelu založených na mikroarchitektúre Core a Penryn, ktorá sa vyvinula z 32-bitového dvojjadrového mobilného procesora Yonah. Yonah pozostával z dvoch prepojených samostatných jadier (odvodených od procesora Pentium M) združených v jednom kremíkovom čipe. S príchodom Core 2 sa začal presun značky Pentium na nižšiu časť trhu a znovuzjednotenie značiek Intel procesorov pre notebooky a desktopy, predtým rozdeľovaných medzi rad Pentium M a Pentium 4.
