Please change 2024 in Republic of Ireland to 2024 in Ireland, to be consistency with preceding Year in Ireland pages. GoodDay (talk) 00:52, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- @GoodDay: Not done.
- Comment: Different scopes. The Republic of Ireland is not all of Ireland. Check the category trees for Category:2020s in the Republic of Ireland and Category:2020s in Ireland. Est. 2021 (talk · contribs) 02:03, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- My apologies @Est. 2021:, I meant another Template. GoodDay (talk) 05:57, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
Basque Country
[edit]Why is the Basque Country not included in "Dependencies and other entities"? I understand it is a cultural region and falls under both Spain and France. Salmoonlight (talk) 20:44, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- There are many cultural regions that cross borders in Europe, however they are not political entities which is what is covered within this template. CMD (talk) 03:23, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
List of political scandals in Europe
[edit]I don't understand how the the general template connects to individual templates, but there is a template for "List of political scandals in Europe" (e.g. at the bottom of List_of_political_scandals_in_the_United_Kingdom) that is mostly redlinks. That goes against navbox policy. Is it possible to separate it from this general template? Bondegezou (talk) 16:14, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
Adding England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland as separate links
[edit]Currently no links exist for the constituent countries of the United Kingdom. May this be added? MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 01:53, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- You can add links with |UK_only=no, see the documentation. CMD (talk) 02:49, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
Add some major former countries?
[edit]Ex. Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Austro-Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Holy Roman Empire...? Ones that do not have a clear modern equivalent and are likely to have relevant subarticles that are 'topics'. Ex. I am adding this template to entries in Category:Science fiction by nationality and stumbled upon Yugoslav science fiction which currently has no place in the template. Or consider Economy of Czechoslovakia. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:11, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- The template series only includes current entities for pragmatic reasons, extending them back in time expands their scope immensely. CMD (talk) 12:48, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
