Irregular title
editThis article has a very irregular title that clearly does not comply with the Manual or Style or naming conventions, especially guidelines about how titles should be short noun phrases with few articles. I think it should be moved to something like "Ethnic groups of Manipur". Does anyone else agree or have any other ideas about naming? --Qmwne235 00:11, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Agree. According the the first external linked article, the Manipuri is considered a single ethnic group made of two races. I suggest changing the name to just "Manipuri Bishnupriya" or "Manipuri Bishnupriya people". Meanwhile, I will do a copy-edit for language and structure.-Samuel tan85 (talk) 06:55, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Only managed to do a partial copy-edit. Added an expert tag. -Samuel tan85 (talk) 07:12, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- At 23:58, 31 July 2010 Jimbo Wales moved Talk:Manipuri: The Bishnupriyas and Meiteis of Manipur to Talk:Ethnic groups of Manipur: Moving to more normal title per suggestion on talk page — wbm1058 (talk) 11:41, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
