Luxeed

Luxeed (Chinese: 智界; pinyin: Zhìjiè; lit. 'smart world') is Chery's premium EV brand in cooperation with Huawei under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).

In May 2023, Huawei presented the first official photos of a new car that the technology group jointly developed with another partner from the automotive industry. This time, Chery was chosen for cooperation, which enabled the launch of the new Luxeed brand^[1]. Initial information on the first product, the large executive sedan Luxeed S7, was presented in August 2023^[2], and the full premiere took place in September of the same year^[3].

In November 2023, Huawei announced the creation of its automotive division HIMA, which would merge Luxeed with its sister company Aito Auto. Shortly after this event, the sale and distribution of S7 was officially launched on the Chinese market, emphasizing the relatively low energy consumption and the availability of various technological innovations in the equipment^[4]. Luxeed cars went on sale in selected Chinese Huawei showrooms, along with the technology group's products and Aito models. In June 2024, Luxeed's portfolio was expanded with a second model, this time in the form of a mid-size SUV R7^[5].
