Number of sources

[edit]

On one hand, I'm very glad that we have cited many sources and done our research before adding the salmonella information to the page. However... there is no way we need this many sources. Even three refs from highly reputable sources seems to be plenty to confirm the issue. I'm not going to change anything for now because I have not looked through the sources and don't know which ones are most suitable to keep. This may also not be notable enough to remain after the scare is over. If this information stays in the article though, you gotta cut down that source list. I fixed this by removing them all and citing the primary source (FDA website) instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Althena (talkcontribs) 12:26, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plant vs Fruit

[edit]

I have a package of Burpee All Alarm Hot Pepper Mix ( UPC 0-41530-65016-7) that I'm growing. It would be very useful if this article would have more information regarding the serrano plant itself and not just the fruit.

Species name

[edit]

Capsicum annuum is written beside the name. What gives? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:02, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Serrano is one variety of the 'Capsicum annuum' species of peppers. 66.87.4.116 (talk) 01:53, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
