Tomé Piers or Tomé Pires?

[edit]

Piers is not a Portuguese name (which does not mean that wasn't his name...). Couldn't it be Pires? The Ogre 15:49, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - Pires is correct and page moved accordingly. Merbabu 01:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suma oriental unpublished until 1944?

[edit]

In this article it is said that the Suma Oriental has not been published until 1944, it even was "lost in an archive". But: I have found an edition of this book, which says it is a reprint of one first published in London 1914 (see: http://asianeds.com/book_cd_details.asp?Cd=429&BC=b). Since there is no evidence given in the article, I would say, this passage has to be removed or anyone who knows more about it should share his knowledge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.220.166.92 (talk) 00:39, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
