Short description on Hyphenated American

[edit]

I really struggled to come up with a short description for the article, and since you reverted my old one for being somewhat inaccurate, i'll just make it extremely vague (it is now just "Term used in American politics and sociology"). Is that adequate? -1ctinus📝🗨 11:39, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think that works, although maybe "Term used in early 20th century American politics and sociology"? My main concern would be that readers (especially non-US readers) understand that it isn't a term used in contemporary America. CAVincent (talk) 12:56, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noise rock page vandalized by Binksternet

[edit]

Hey, since I think you have control over noise rock try to retain whatever relevant information you deem should be in the article a user known as Binksternet keeps reverting all the important information and leaving the article completely devoid of relevant history. Please, resolve this issue. Thank you. Genesisp-orridge (talk) 11:15, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you have against the article Robert Williams (drummer), but it does exist and is linked from 66 other articles (and now John Lydon). If you feel it should not exist then please propose its deletion. Celjski Grad (talk) 15:33, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

Why did you undo my edits on the article "Americans". We already discussed this edit on Moxy's talk page. Once an edit is discussed on talk page, you're not supposed to remove it. HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 05:12, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

i see you said in your edit summary "a better version of this was just added to the lead by Moxy and it doesn't need to be in the lead twice". When I was referring to the lead, I was referring to the first paragraph, not the third. HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 05:21, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of things are repeated in wiki articles, The fact that majority of Americans or their ancestors immigrated to the United States or are descended from people who were brought as slaves was mentioned again in the article "Americans" HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 05:23, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You undid my new edit, how did my new edit start with numerals? And can you respond this time because I'm confused HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 10:46, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

[edit]

I find your recent edit summary "but if you really want to misspell words, fine" rather offensive, as well as ignorant. Please keep in mind WP:CIVIL. Regards, Tim riley talk 17:32, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Again, apologies. Clearly my attempt at a joke was not taken as such. I fully understand that "colour" and "color" are both valid spellings, as are "shrimp" and "shrimps" for a plural. I find differences in varieties of English amusing. I'm certainly not intending to assert that one variety is correct, just laughing at the differences. OK, apologies again accepted. Good wishes, Tim riley talk 18:15, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
