English: Birka and Hovgården (Swedish: Birka och Hovgården) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sweden consisting of two archaeological sites of Birka (on the island Björkö) and Hovgården (on the island Adelsön). Both were important Viking Age settlements. The neighbouring islands are located in Mälaren, the third-largest lake in Sweden.
