DZCA (1170 AM) was a radio station owned and operated by the Office of Civil Defense.

It served as the official radio station of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), wherein it aired the latest weather information in the country at the top of the hour.[1][2]

The station went off the air in 1993 due to lack of funding. However in 2015, there are several proposals from the Philippine National Police to use this station once more for more effective communication in public, on-time reports, traffic updates and again for PAGASA weather update (similar to the now defunct MMDA Radio via 1206 AM (resume on-air and being managed by IBC)), but all of these proposals are not in fruitition until today. The mentioned proposals were later carried over by Radyo Pilipinas 3 Alerts 1278 AM. Despite being inactive, the frequency receives live broadcast of Voice of America via DWVA in La Union.[3]
