Born and raised in Houston. My dad ran the class Vegas Hotel next to Sonny Looks on Main street. In 1976 the Boston Sea Part was open so my parents went as often as we could. It had amazing food. But then it seems like it just all of a sudden closed. They had waiting lists just to get a table. I was only 14 or 15 but asked my dad what happened. I believe there was a fire involved. Since my dad was in the hotel, night club and restaurant business I asked him what happened. He said the Boston Sea Party was owned by one mafia family and a competitor was own by another. He just said they ended the feud. I really don't know what is true . If you could clear it up that would be great.

[edit]

Born in Houston i really loved the Boston Sea Party. I was about 13 or 14 when my parents took me there. We would go at least 2 times a week. I was raised on the Gulf Coast so loved any type of sea food or shell fish. And yes I like snails. My dad started me young. My parents loved to tell the story of me being about 6 months sitting in a high chair eating oysters and loving it. I was so little my mom had to cut it in half to fit it in my mouth. People who would see this and come over to ask if i was really eating oysters. I guess i loved them. We did have all our sea food dinners at Zider Zees at least until the Boston Tea Party. It was a great place to eat. It had everything. Being raised on the Gulf Coast i love all sea food and shellfish. Raw, baked, fried whatever. When I heard that the Boston Tea Party was closed down (I was told it burned down), I asked my dad and was told The Boston Tea Party was owned by a mafia family and they had a rival with another Family which got out of control so the other mafia family burned the Sea Party down. Do you know anything about this. Ckdesigns (talk) 04:53, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
