His great grandfather was Capt. Richard Morris, not Robert! The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.107.202.61 (talk • contribs) , at 22:30, 24 January 2006.

I removed the reference to "slaver" in the opening paragraph. There is no discussion or explanation of that later in the entry. --Al-Nofi (talk) 17:57, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

His one of his descendants was named Grace Morris. [1] 66.66.89.47 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 01:09, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary to say 'presently part of Bronx country'

[edit]

It's not necessary to mention whether Morrisania is 'presently part of Bronx country'. Certainly we don't need to say it three times. Supporting example: we say Joseph Stalin ruled the Soviet Union, NOT: Joseph Stalin ruled the Soviet Union, which is presently split into modern-day Russia and other Eurasian states. Category:American slave owners

[edit]

No mention of slave-owning. I feel that this category should be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. Valetude (talk) 11:15, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate fact about Lewis Morris uncle Lewis Morris

[edit]

He is listed everywhere else to have children. Thomas Morris, married to Sarah Settle. They lived in Barbados at first. So he was not childless. 2600:6C5E:5C7F:FFCC:A88D:D268:7615:A73C (talk) 17:22, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
