Numbers built

[edit]

Sorry for the confusion, I am just checking the build figures I have as they dont add up at the moment. MilborneOne (talk) 18:33, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The 14 DL3s (including derivatives definately doesn't add up - Somilia had 2 utility and two /MAR, the Italian Air Force had six /APH, the Italian Foreign Ministry had two utility aircraft for humanitarian work in Somalia, the Italian coast guard had 12 new build SEMs, the the GdF having a further 10 new build /SEMs and 2 ex-Alitalia utility aircraft - this makes at least 36.Nigel Ish (talk) 18:55, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks it looks like the type was still in production when my source was written so your 36 looks about right.
  • I-PIAC and I-PIAE are the two Alitalia
  • 60-SBI to 60-SBL are the four Somali
  • MM25153 to MM25158 are the six APHs
  • MM25159 to MM25170 are the 12 SEM1s
  • MM25173 to MM25182 are the 10 SEM2s
  • Also quoted are MM25183 and MM25184 appear to be straight DL3s which gives 36.

Tried to make up an production list but the sources differ between the msns and the build nos for DL3s. One example is Build 121 appears to be msn 472 MM25153 (an APH) but 472 is also given for MM25183, scramble also says that Build 121 is actually MSN 475 etc., MilborneOne (talk) 20:59, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
