Title

[edit]

Should this article be moved to Pillbox row (lower case on the second word)? I have also heard it referred to as the "pillbox affair" and have created a redirect from that name. I'll freely confess ignorance on what the commonly used term is though. Leithp 16:29, 5 December 2007 (UTC) It seems to be called pill box affair in this book (extracts are on google books). Feel free to change the title to what is the most-used name, but Jock Colville called it the Pillbox Row. Whatever is chosen, I think both words should be capitalized GrahamBould (talk) 19:51, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Today's FA, Brown Dog affair, puts the final word in lower case. Should we not follow this precedent? Leithp 07:33, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see Gaius Cornelius has chosen to implement the page move in any case. Leithp 17:26, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have renamed the page after discussion with GrahamBould. Sorry, I did not look here first. Gaius Cornelius (talk) 17:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pillbox v. Pill-box

[edit]

Unless there is some subtlety which has excaped me, the article uses "pillbox" and "pill-box" interchangeably. I haven't changed it because I am not absolutely sure which is right (I tend myself to heavily favour "pillbox"). But I think the article would look better if it used the same spelling throughout (with the possible exception of quoted text). Rachel Pearce (talk) 21:42, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pillbox is the more modern presentation. The hyphen in this word fell out of favour in WWII. Gaius Cornelius (talk) 00:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've created the temporary stub

Per repairing the copyright violations, I removed all content except the one sentence introduction, categories, and structure. The sources clearly have usefulness, so I've left those as well. BusterD (talk) 12:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
