Notability

[edit]

Even though PoliticsPA.com doesn't have a very high Alexa rating, it still managed to achieve a level of notability through its importance among Pennsylvania's political scene. The notability of a website, per Wikipedia policy is established by being the subject of "multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself." Here, two newspapers (Philadelphia Inquirer and the Lancaster Sunday News) covered PoliticsPA in non-trivial articles. Once establishing notability, web site articles are to offer "detail on a website's achievements, impact or historical significance," which I believe this article satisfies.--HoboJones (talk) 06:38, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PoliticsPA as a WP:Reliable Source

[edit]

WP:Reliable sources states that sources are to be evaluated within "context." Thus, PoliticsPA should be considered a WP:Reliable Source within the context of opinion and analysis of Pennsylvania politics. It has an extremely strong following among Pennsylvania's political community. This publication has been cited as a source several times by mainstream newspapers.--Blargh29 (talk) 08:00, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
