Comments

[edit]

It should be noted in this article that when Rasheed was a Trail Blazer the fans would also yell "SHEED" whenever he touched the ball. I'm not sure if the yelling of "SHEED" started at North Carolina, yet Detroit isn't alone in their actions.--Nehooper59 00:26, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no mention of Sheed's grey spot? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.89.237.7 (talk) 18:27, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 16:03, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

[edit]

I went ahead and added a neutrality disputed template to this article. The entire article seems to be blatantly propping him up with a lot of outrageous claims, especially in the player profile section, which I would prefer just to take out altogether. Any thoughts?--Henry talk 04:30, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flopping

[edit]

The line about the NBA imposing fines for flopping is inaccurate. The provided citation (a link to an ESPN.com story) has since been proven incorrect, as the league has announced that they are monitoring the state of flopping but have not created a rule imposing fines for flopping, nor do they intend to do so in the near future. That sentence should be removed from the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.23.232.69 (talk) 07:03, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement

[edit]

He just made it official. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Atari2 (talkcontribs) 00:52, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A more recent article says that he's "leaning" toward retirement: [1] Zagalejo^^^ 21:48, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On September 30th, 2012 according to ESPN, Wallace came out of retirement & has informed the New York Knicks that he will sign with the team in time for the start of the 2012-2013 NBA season. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.7.179.202 (talk) 21:02, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • The following line: He is now retiring in North Raleigh, Nor th Carolina. - was removed from the citation code to clear the unknown parameter error from the page. I am placing the information here so an editor caring for this article can decide its replacement or not. Darryl.P.Pike (talk) 06:13, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: An official announcement is expected tomorrow. Let's just wait and see what happens. The Knicks have not publicly said anything yet. Zagalejo^^^ 23:48, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ball Don't Lie

[edit]

This is a huge thing that Wallace is notorious for yelling at opponents who miss free throws after a questionable call. I feel it should be mentioned — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.181.122.218 (talk) 02:48, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
