WikiProject Comics B-Class Assesment required

[edit]

This article needs the B-Class checklist filled in to remain a B-Class article for the Comics WikiProject. If the checklist is not filled in by 7th August this article will be re-assessed as C-Class. The checklist should be filled out referencing the guidance given at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. For further details please contact the Comics WikiProject. Done. The article is missing a publication history and has very few references, so a C see,s appropriate. (Emperor (talk) 02:51, 24 July 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Was an explanation ever given as to why the Starjammers used (UXM #107, in Phoenix's words) "American slang and accents" (p. 30)? They all spoke differently from one another -- Raza in particular in some sort of poetic (or dialectal) lingo. Alien species don't normally learn "slang" from humans. And if they had learned English from Major Summers, logically they would've acquired only one accent, namely his. Also, Ch'od almost seems to imply that English is his first/preferred language ("Doesn't everybody [speak English]?", p. 27). Ergo, was there a subsequent twist in Claremont's plot, when the Starjammers' origin was eventually explained? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.48.242.148 (talk) 15:38, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
