Plagiarism

[edit]

There is significant plagiarism from Tucker's AllMusic biography. Just because this page cites the biography as a source does not justify lifting large sections verbatim without quotation marks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.16.99.164 (talk) 23:57, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia article

[edit]

I've decided to take this article under my wings since noone else has volunteered for the job. I will basically just be adding info and not be doing so much removal (if any). Let me know if you have comments. ~ "Botilda 11:35, 19 May 2006 (UTC)" Tanya Tucker's page is in desperate need of a uptodate picture i have a few i would like to put up, but i dont know how?[reply]

Rock and roll

[edit]

If memory serves, didn't Tanya make a serious attempt to switch over to rock and roll somewhere around 1979-1980? It didn't last long and by the mid-1980s she was back to country. At any rate, my recollection of all this is pretty fuzzy, but if someone can come up with better information and sources, this would be worth adding to the article. --Mwalimu59 18:16, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I read in another Wikipedia piece that Bette Midler sung Delta Dawn in 1972. This article states Helen Reding remade the song.

This article lists voice and guitar as her instruments. However, in the 2023 Netflix special, Tanya herself said she regrets not learning to play guitar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.98.253.117 (talk) 16:33, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Singles Chart

[edit]

There is a great need for a new singles chart for Tanya Tucker's article. The chart is missing the US Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary entries. One of her hits "Lizzie and the Rainman", was a Pop hit. I will work on a singles chart soon. LovePatsyCline 20:23, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalized

[edit]

Someone deleted the sections about her career 1972-1985 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.160.171 (talk) 05:44, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

[edit]

Couldn't the photo be cropped to remove what appears to be an escaped mental patient slamming her temple against Ms. Tucker's haircut? --50.141.213.227 (talk) 21:22, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies

[edit]

The article says: "When the Tuckers moved to St. George, Utah, Juanita took Tanya to audition for the film Jeremiah Johnson." Then it says that her family moved to Henderson, Nevada, in 1969. But Jeremiah Johnson didn't start filming until 1971.75.169.180.38 (talk) 03:11, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
