Linter stripped tag error

[edit]

Frietjes: {{Sri Lankan former states}} shows a stripped tag error, a stray </th>. I tried to fix it by replacing the stray tag with </td>, but that causes problems in other templates transcluding this one. You can see the stray tag if you put that template into Special:ExpandTemplates. When I changed this "Region..." template to use the other tag, it caused Linter errors in many transclusions, e.g. {{History of Poland}}, that were fine before my change. I think that the way this template is calling Module:Sidebar results in a th being opened in some cases and a td being opened in other cases. I am not good at Lua, so I haven't been able to diagnose it fully. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:26, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jonesey95, I fixed {{Sri Lankan former states}}, per the instructions for Template:Region history sidebar title it is meant for use in the |title= and not in the |pretitle=. Frietjes (talk) 14:36, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
RTFM? Why didn't I think of that? – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:05, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Boldface

[edit]

The "a series" part of the title should not be boldfaced as WP:SBE. --Omnipaedista (talk) 11:36, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
