2018 Strasbourg shooting

On 11 December 2018 a terrorist attack happened in Strasbourg, France. Five people were shot dead and several others were injured.[1][2] The suspect, a 29 years old man[3] who was known to the security services and thought of as an extremist[4][5][6] was wounded in an exchange of fire with a soldier, is at large.[7]

The incident occurred near Place Kléber, where Christkindelsmärik, a Christmas market, was being held.[7]
