Mamat Khalid

Mohamad bin Mohamad Khalid, known professionally as Mamat Khalid (6 April 1963 – 24 October 2021) was a Malaysian screenwriter, movie director and actor. He was born in Ipoh, Perak, Federation of Malaya. His career began in 1996. His best known works were Puteri Gunung Ledang, Zombi Kampung Pisang and Hantu Kak Limah.

In 2018, Khalid was diagnosed with heart disease. He died on 24 October 2021 at a hospital in Slim River, Malaysia from problems caused by the disease, aged 58.[1]
