Maryport

Maryport is a town on the A596 road in Allerdale, Cumbria, England. In 2001 there were 11,275 people living in Maryport.[1]

The Romans built the fort Uxellodunum in Alauna (which is now called Maryport) around the year 122, to help defend the western end of Hadrian's Wall.[source?]
