Multiple meanings of Intendant

[edit]

@Ederporto: @Ascilto: This page seems to currently represent two different things which are referred to as 'intendant' in different languages:

  1. A public office for an administrator
  2. A managerial position in an Opera company or theatre

intendant (Q6491450) is currently a mixture of both these types of thing with a instance of (P31) to both intendant (Q6491450) and artistic director (Q1797162) as well as other statements which indicate it is being used to represent both senses of "Intendant". I came across this issue while trying to describe the position of intendant (Q54863725). I was originally going to use intendant (Q6491450) for a subclass of (P279) on intendant (Q54863725), but this does not seem appropriate while it has two meanings. See also intendant (Q3153026). I also note that many of the items that link to intendant (Q6491450) are for individuals who have held the position of Intendant in the second sense above (managerial position in an opera/theatre company).

What would be the best approach for separating out these two senses more clearly? Owenpatel (talk) 15:18, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
