It means the combined record for each team against all teams they both played against, minimum of 4. So for example, Carolina, the NY Giants, and Detroit all played the Bears, Cardinals, WFT, and Buccaneers. The Lions went 3-2 against those 4 teams, and the Giants and Panthers went 2-3. So Detroit wins the tiebreaker. Then, for the Giants and Panthers, the strength of victory tiebreaker must be used. Jdavi333 (talk) 15:43, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
