Noah Baumbach is directing an upcoming coming-of-age comedy-drama film, from a screenplay he wrote alongside Emily Mortimer. It is expected to star an ensemble cast, including George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern and Billy Crudup.

editIt was announced in December 2023 that Noah Baumbach had set up his next project in his deal with Netflix, with George Clooney and Adam Sandler cast to star. Baumbach co-wrote the screenplay with Emily Mortimer, while Amy Pascal and David Heyman served as producers through their respective Pascal Pictures and Heyday Films labels.[1] Film blog World of Reel reported hearing that the film would be titled Jay Kelly.[2]
In March 2024, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup and Riley Keough were added to the cast.[3] Later that month, Jim Broadbent, Jamie Demetriou, Lars Eidinger, Grace Edwards, Patsy Ferran, Isla Fisher, Greta Gerwig, Thaddea Graham, Josh Hamilton, Eve Hewson, Stacy Keach, Nicôle Lecky, Louis Partridge, Alba Rohrwacher, Charlie Rowe, Parker Sawyers, Alba Rohrwacher, Kyle Soller and Patrick Wilson were among those announced as part of the cast, with Mortimer also due to appear in the film.[4]
Filming began in March 2024, with production occurring between New York City, London,[5] and Tuscany.[6]
