Warning

edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Kansas Bear (talk) 22:13, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Non-attributed translations

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ja:細川護久 to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example:

Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. C F A 💬 20:28, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Block notification

edit

This account has repeated the behavior of User:Exam26, editing the same range of drafts, engaging in the use of fictitious sourcing (this time using real sources that do not support the article contents in any form) and extensive unattributed machine translation in the creation of articles. Articles created by banned or blocked users in violation of a block are eligible for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G5. Also compare the contents and edit histories of Katō clan and Draft:Katō (clan), or Draft:Nariwa Domain vs. Nariwa Domain. A look at G5-deleted contributions makes the link clear. Request reason:

Hi there Dekimasu : :“I am requesting a unblock for my actions, while also acknowledging my mistakes I have made while creating and editing on Wikipedia pages. I also acknowledge the fact that I was blocked for fictitious sources that do not support the created articles, while also the fact that I have extensive unattributed machine translations for my created articles as drafts. :”While I may not be able to contribute to Wikipedia for a long time, at least I can still read Wikipedia pages and reflect on my past mistakes I have made”. :“Also, since I know my appeal will probably be declined by administrators, I am just going to give it a shot and appeal to my blocking administrator while reflecting on my mistakes I have made and how I can avoid making similar mistakes in the near future”. :”If I do get unblocked or not, I will be sure to not repeat these mistakes and let it happen again and also read the Wikipedia’s terms of service before I start editing and creating pages online and I adhere to follow Wikipedia’s standards. While waiting for my block to be reviewed, I am just going to refrain from disruptive behavior and editing while I am blocked. :Sincerely, :MackoGqn

Decline reason:

This does not address the reason for your block. Yamla (talk) 10:54, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I am not going to process the unblock request myself, but note that: 1) this is a sockpuppet block in addition to noting problems with behavior; 2) the previous account made an unblock request that was worded similarly, and the reviewing administrator asked that unblock requests not be written via AI tools; 3) the previous account said it would stop engaging in the problematic behavior, but this sock continued with the same behavior. Regardless of the result of this unblock request or future unblock requests, if you return to editing in good standing in the future, please do not engage in machine translation if you are unable to verify and support the underlying information you are attempting to add to Wikipedia. Request reason:

Hello there again, :“I am here once again to address my mistakes, while attempting to convince you to unblock me, and submitting another unblock request”. :—> The reason why I was blocked was obviously because of sockpuppetry, while repeating my main account, Exam26’s behavior and editing the same drafts, with unattributed machine translations, and attributed to unrelated sources that didn’t support the content. I was also blocked for fictitious sources, that didn’t support Wikipedia. :I should be unblocked from Wikipedia because I will be returning to good editing in the near future, while also trying to prevent my disruptive behavior I have made on Wikipedia. I will also be returning to good faith, and making sure I don’t repeat the same mistakes again and before I submit my drafts for review, I will be careful with my actions and the consequences for failure to comply with the terms of service. I also should be given a second chance to edit again, because I will prevent any disruptive and fictitious content in my drafts and be asking for help, and reading the references guide section on how to properly add references to a Wikipedia article. :——> Also, this is not Ai-generated, it’s a unblock request made by me while attempting to convince my blocking administrator to unblock me and give me a second chance. :

Decline reason:

I am not convinced, certainly not after blocking another sock account. Drmies (talk) 21:39, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Good night, :I am here to acknowledge and understand the reason that I got blocked on Wikipedia, while also reflecting on my wrongful choices and actions I have made. But, I want to say that I am not a sock puppet of Wildlover22, but a secondary account of my main account, Exam26, because I never owned or abused multiple accounts while editing on Wikipedia. The reason why I was blocked was because I repeated the behavior of my main account, edited the same drafts, engaged in unattributed machine translations, and the attribution to unrelated sources that did not support the content. I understand the reason on why I was blocked and the consequences based on my actions and how I wasn’t allowed to edit Wikipedia because of it. I believe that the block is no longer necessary on my account, because I won’t do it again, won’t engage in any suspicious activity, and will return to editing in good standing. The next time that I return to Wikipedia after being either blocked or unblocked, I will make productive contributions instead of repeating the same mistake. Hopefully, in the near future, I don’t repeat the same :actions and find better ways to contribute to Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

Even if I could decipher the mishmash of words above, I would still outright decline because you're still socking. Seriously, find another hobby.Ponyobons mots 22:48, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your email

edit

As you have been told, you need to request unblocking via your original account.. My colleague, @Ponyo: has recommended getting another hobby. I cannot fault her reasoning. You might consider the WP:standard offer-- edit some other Wikimedia project (meta::List of Wikipedias) for at least six months with at least 500 constructive edits, without evading you block or creating more accounts or editing logged out in that time. Then via UTRS request talk page restoration so that your unblock request can be carried to WP:AN for consideration by the community. You will need to address all of the problems that led to your block. Hope that helps. (It looks to me like checkuser approval might be required too.) -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 02:06, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the reminder Deepfriedokra; I've updated the block to a CU block.-- Ponyobons mots 21:20, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
