Women in Green's "Around the World in 31 Days" GA Editathon – October 2024

[edit]

Hello Youknowwhoistheman:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

Decline reason

[edit]

I think you may have used the wrong decline reason on Draft:Darren Gualtieri (bowls) previously. I don't think it matters now but just check and make sure (that I didn't make a mistake as well) since the prose is pretty much the same but I left a different decline reason. Abdur Rehman Shah Sailani moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Abdur Rehman Shah Sailani, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. This draft which you have submitted fails WP:N as it lacks Sigcov. You may want to see the history of this draft where it was nominated for deletion by another new page patroller. Thanks. Maliner (talk) 10:10, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Improper articles

[edit]

Please slow down and do not create articles with fake references like you did it here on Abdur Rehman Shah Sailani. Please familiarise yourself with WP:N and WP:V. Maliner (talk) 10:07, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you show me a 'so called fake reference'? Youknow? (talk) 10:16, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, your 4th citation, "Indian Journal of Secularism: IJS : a Journal of Centre for Study of Society & Secularism. The Centre. 2006. " Which you have cited for this statement, Sailani Baba was born into a wealthy family, with his father, Kale Khan, being a businessman in Delhi is totally a fake reference for the claim you presented. Apart from this the biography which you have presented, During his childhood and early teenage years, Sailani Baba developed a keen interest in wrestling. To pursue this passion, he moved from Delhi to the Deccan region, where he trained under Noor Miyan, a well-known wrestler from Balapur. Having mastered the sport, he subsequently traveled to Hyderabad. for your claims was not at all mentioned in the book,Hindu-Muslim Syncretic Shrines and Communities by Burman. I will say the whole article is filled with failed verifications like this. You should not try to dodge the system by violating WP:V. Period. Maliner (talk) 10:27, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
