 Delete While the artist is not named in the book (I checked at the Internet Archive), that does not mean we can treat this as an anonymous work under German law, because pre-mid 1995 German works of the bildende Künste, like this one, cannot be anonymous or pseudonymous works because the old German copyright law, still relevant in these cases, said so. See Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Germany#Anonymous and pseudonymous works. So the file should be deleted. At the time of upload, author claimed that this photograph was in the public domain, so we can't quite delete for lacking a licensing tag. While investigating a categorization clusterfuck created by Lieutcoluseng, I see they removed the {{PD-USGov}} license tag. Another editor restored that tag with zero regard for the fact that this is not a work of the U.S. government. It obviously runs afoul of COM:TOO, also. Since this was scraped from a webpage published in 2022, itself citing a 2021 newspaper article, it's impossible to verify if this meets any PD criteria related to the lack of a copyright notice. The uploader's contributions show evidence of possible other COM:TOO-questionable uploads and similar misuse of PD-USGov. Contrary to the information provided in its description, File:Madre Eucaristica.jpg is attributed to a Christian organization in Italy by its watermark. Said organization is currently using the image on their website. Judging by the quality of the other image, it appears to have been taken from a similar source. Both images are long-term unused files.
