@Abyssal: I was doing some work on the template and added the ability to link to Wikispecies pages/categories while I was at it. If there's something more you had in mind let me know and I'll see what I can do. I don't yet have autoreviewed rights so you may need to wait for someone to approve my changes before being able to make use of the new parameters.
