I see, thanks for explaining. But I can't really be bothered. :)

AN/TRQ-32

[edit]

The AN/TRQ-32 TEAMMATE was a core electronic warfare asset of US Army during the Cold War for radio direction finding (DF) and communications intercept. Using 2 or more, enemy radio signals could be triangulated using the Radio Direction Finding antenna mounted on the back of the vehicle.

The system is housed in an S-457B/G shelter initially mounted on M1028 CUCV (Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle), later replaced by High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV).

The system itself is comprised of

  • An operator terminal
  • Antennas
  • Receiver
  • Direction finder
  • Audio/recorder
  • Hydraulic generator/air conditioner
  • Data processing[1]

Multiple systems could be networked, able to communicate and work together, as well as with similar assets on different platforms, like the EH-60 QUICK FIX.

Two operators could work independently on a single system for signal analysis.

Variants: AN/TRQ-32(V)2 added secure UHF data link and processing capabilities.
