  • Alesi did not run out of fuel after the finish. He made it all the way around to the hairpin which has grandstands all around to create a stadium like setting. He stopped, unbuckled, and stood in the car to wave to the crowd. The car stalled. Rprm2007 18:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • One of the outcomes of the crowd swarming the track is a massive security presence. I attended all but the 1991 and 1999 Canadian Grands Prix from 1988 through to 2004. Prior to the crowd problem in 1995, security was there, but not to make it seem fans needed to sit still and not move. After 1995, security personnel and vigilence was increased. I haven't returned to the race since 2004, there is no fun in attending a car race only to have so many security guards stopping you from doing anything other than sit still The people sitting behind you might understand you want to stand once to take a photo, but most of the security people do not. Although I do feel a little sorry for them, the times I saw them they were always wearing black; some days in the late spring sun, that had to be quite uncomfortable. Constructors points

Benetton and Williams were not awarded Constructors Championship points for their placings in the Brazilian Grand Prix as the cars were deemed to be using illegal fuel. DH85868993 (talk) 00:52, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The gaps of the followers are correct, but those who finished 1 lap down covered 68 laps, not 67

As explained in the article lead, although the race was scheduled for 69 laps, and the first 5 drivers did indeed complete 69 laps, the results were declared as at the end of the 68th lap, due to the crowd invasion of the track. DH85868993 (talk) 10:40, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
