I've spent an hour looking for the Royal Navy's equivilent badge, please can someone make it? --20.133.0.13 16:24, 26 March 2010

It might be best is you look at Wikipedia:Requested pictures first to get help for what you are looking for. Good luck.--BSTemple (talk) 22:48, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Nzairforce.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Nzairforce.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Update submitted by David Rose, ex-RAF 1965-1978
If there is any doubt about whether it's an Eagle or an Albatross a friend of mine had this response from the College of Arms, London.
11 February 2013 Dear Mr XXXXXX, Thank you for your e-mail of 8 February which I have received as Officer in Waiting for the week. The RAF use an eagle not an albatross on their cap badge and on their shoulder badge, though they do often refer to it, rather disparagingly, as an albatross. Yours sincerely, William Hunt Windsor Herald College of Arms 130 Queen Victoria Street London EC4V 4BT
