Suggestions

[edit]

I've done a bit of copy editing work on this article and have the following suggestions for improvement:

  • currently there is only a Japanese estimate of the British/Indian casualties - are their any Allied accounts that confirm or contradict this number?
  • are there any Japanese sources that relate to this battle?
  • if possible, more precise citations for the Smith work would help improve the verifiability of the article. For instance, Footnote # 2 has a large page range, but it could be possible to cite individual pages, or at least smaller page ranges;
  • the Jeffrey source is listed but doesn't appear to be specifically cited. If possible, in line citations to this work should be worked in;
  • for a B class rating, the article will need some more in line citations, I have added tags to where I feel they are needed;
  • there are a couple of dead link tags, if possible these could be replaced with archived versions from http://web.archive.org.

I don't have any sources, so I'm unable to help in this regard, sorry. Good work so far. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 07:14, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed a couple of these, but am not able to deal with the top three. AustralianRupert (talk) 12:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
