I don't understand the purpose of this article. It has nothing that is not covered elsewhere. And why are soccer clubs listed under Culture? Roundtheworld (talk) 20:00, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's point is that of highlighting Rome's culture in a longer and more detailed page. You can go on Culture of Paris, Culture of London or Culture of New York City, and you'll find the exact same thing. These pages are about talking about the city's culture in more detail.--Theologiae (talk) 22:03, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree with Roundtheworld. The article has no use in its present form and should be nominated for deletion if it continues to appear with information contained in other articles.Brutal Deluxe (talk) 10:38, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 31 December 2019

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved  — Amakuru (talk) 12:09, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Culture of Rome is an WP:XY redirect, currently to Culture of ancient Rome. The title Culture of Rome, Italy was presumably chosen as a WP:NATURALDIS, but ancient Rome was also in Italy (although Italy as a political entity was not unified until 1861), so it's a poor choice.

Even though it gets fewer page views, I think the "Italy" article should be moved over Culture of Rome. Ancient Rome gets over ten times as many as Italy, but very few of those come via the redirect, so moving the "Italy" article over it shouldn't be disruptive. The redirect has no incoming links.

Other options are to reverse the redirect per WP:CONCISE, or turn it into a disambiguation page per WP:NOPRIMARYTOPIC. Because of that option, should I list the redirect at RfD and refer to here? 94.21.10.204 (talk) 11:07, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Support - The first title is more concise. Neutral on second title. Interstellarity (talk) 15:25, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
