@SoniaLall24:: I've added material sourced from the above links. Not sure how much a list of additional industry honours would add to the article, as it risks coming across as PR (even to a casual reader). As you suspected, each individual honour would probably have to be separately sourced. And my feeling is it might bog down the article a bit, all this industry insider stuff... An article which begins to sound too promotional and PR firm "puffy" (like Zandra Rhodes) risks attracting a later flag at the top of it, which ultimately is a real disservice to the subject. (Rhodes honestly deserves better than that. Bad PR work on Wikipedia can be as troublesome as plastic surgery gone awry.) Anyway, I think Mr Galvin's entry is immunized for now against promotional flagging. He might just have to "settle" for an OBE, as far as Wikipedia goes, and be happy with it. (He can always list additional honours and promotional material on his own danielgalvin.com website, right?)
All that said, the article does have a lot of good "colour" now, natural colour, with that structure, neutrality, and balance in keeping with Wikipedia's encyclopedic style, but your job is done in that I can almost guarantee that any future client who comes in mentioning "A Clockwork Orange" won't be doing so because they flew Business Class on BA five years ago, and remember that inflight magazine. So that will be the "Wikipedia Effect" in action, evidence that our little butterfly wings really do make ripples out there in the world. Feel free to post more useful links here in the future, as you come across them. Cheers to you — Vesuvius Dogg (talk) 17:53, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SoniaLall24: On second thought, I don't mind a list of awards (in its own section, low in the article) if you can find footnoted support for them. We can make that work. But more important, I hope you'll think about how a photo of Galvin could help the article, if you can find a photographer willing to donate the image to Wikipedia (which in turn allows anyone around the world to reproduce the photo under a Creative Commons license). For legal reasons, it has to be something the photographer him- or herself donates, as the owner of the photo. I can talk a photographer through that process, which involves the photo's creator setting up an account on Wikipedia Commons, uploading the file (if it's a great image and at least 1500 by 1500 pixels on each side, by the way, it could be considered as a Featured Picture) and going through a short check-off menu, ceding the rights to the equivalent of public domain.
One of the reasons why so many prominent celebrities lack decent Wikipedia photos is that professional photographers are loathe to just give away their work, and the photographers who do donate are volunteers and amateurs, although some images they donate are certainly of professional quality. Galvin's entry could be greatly enhanced by a good photo, I think — something with a dash of colour in it, to drive home the point? So if that sounds like a good idea, think about how to make that happen. Anyone can take the photo, so long as they are willing to donate it. You might look around Wikipedia and see the various existing examples, both good and bad, which are usually of a certain "infobox" proportion and appear in the upper right corner (usually fairly close-cropped to the person's face). Lots of possibilities, plenty of inspiration on hand. Best of luck with this Vesuvius Dogg (talk) 04:05, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Galvin's son

[edit]

Hi there. At the bottom of the Daniel Galvin life and career it speaks of his son Daniel Galvin Jr. This should not be on there. Can it be removed? SoniaLall24 (talk) 16:57, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Partner salon

SoniaLall24 (talk) 12:25, 1 March 2016 (UTC)Vesuvius Dogg Can Mulberry Spa in Beaconsfield be removed please as Daniel Galvin is no longer there. It has been removed from their website - http://www.danielgalvin.com/salons/SoniaLall24 (talk) 12:25, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello SoniaLall24, I have removed the Beaconsfield salon from the article. I've also added headings to this request and the one above. When you start a new topic, please use a new heading. Otherwise the talk page becomes very confusing. Voceditenore (talk) 14:10, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
