Five-College folklore

[edit]

Maybe this section should be deleted. The section is just a roumer. If no one says any thing in the next few days I will delete it. Leapster 14:16, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I won't speak for the "Five Cs" paragraph, but the "Scooby-Do" paragraph is clearly stated as a belief by the students of the Five Colleges, so that's not a rumour and should probably stay.

The claim that it's "clearly stated as a belief by the students of the Five Colleges" is unsubstantiated original research. If it's true, it indicates that it's a rumor. Either way, it's not enough to justify including it in the article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.68.134.1 (talk) 21:52, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The section about the Claremont Colleges should be removed, in my opinion, just because it's not about the subject of this article. Move it to the relevant article or to the Talk page and see if it can be sourced. The "Scooby-Doo" section reports an urban legend (not the same as passing it on as fact), and could use a better source, but that doesn't mean at all that it should be deleted. -- Rbellin|Talk 14:45, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
