Reason for the changes?

[edit]

Does anyone have a clue why internationally the QWERTY layout has been changed to, say, AZERTY? I get that in some countries they add new letters to the layout, such as åäö, but why has the order of the existing letters been changed? The article should discuss this part also, if reliable references can be found. —ZeroOne (talk / @) 11:00, 29 April 2009 (UTC)??[reply]

Swiss keyboard?

[edit]

The article would be improved if a section was created which included the Swiss keyboard. Generally, it is a basic QWERTY keybord with the locations of Y and Z interchanged resulting in QWERTZ. However, it is not a German keyboard. It is used with all the Swiss languages.

The diacritical mark keys of all the Swiss languages, German, French and Italian are to the right of the P key and the L key. --TGC55 (talk) 12:23, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
