Maryam 19: 12–14 (Kitāb Yaḥyā instead of Torah)

[edit]

In Maryam 19: 12–14, it is not agreed that the scripture being referred to is the Torah and instead a Book of John the Baptist (Arabic: كتاب يحيى, Kitāb Yaḥyā), is a scripture that may be alluded to and is mentioned in Islamic holy books#Book of John the Baptist article. Yahya as

[edit]

It is alarming that no one has mentioned that the reality of yahya as was due to him calling to the worship of one God and not this story of him warning about some marriage this is from the Jewish Christian tradition 80.192.80.155 (talk) 18:11, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yahya stands for long live!

[edit]

If one analyses the verses of Sura Maryam (19), without further interpretations, one will find that there is no mention of Yahya (AS) dying before the Qur'an. That the day he dies will be salaam, just as the day he was born. The prayer of his father, was answered. The special name of long living was granted. As his father, Zakariya, was helper of Maryam, Yahya is to aid her son, Isa (AS). There is no mention in the Ahadith of his death, either. But that Yahya is with Isa (AS) in the mi'raaj of the prophet Muhammed.

The story of Yahya and Isa is so parallel, so clear and even the salaam on the day they were born and die and come back alive again. The tenses are the same. The day he will (yamuutu) or I will die (amuutu)!

Where is the real source for the death of Yahya? How was the du'a answered by getting his son murdered without salaam and without the purpose of aiding Son of Mary? How can we repeat about Yahya's death even if the Qur'an says nothing of it? Yahya mean long live, and if Isa (AS) is alive while he used the same salaam the day he dies, Yahya will also die on a day of peace or salaam, not by murder.

If Isa (AS) will return, then who are the two with him? And is it not Idris (Ilyas) (AS) another who has not died? Yahya is alive until he returns with Isa and both die in day of salaam/peace. Allah knows best. JmO369 (talk) 23:05, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Muslim belief about John the Baptist.

[edit]

Muslim don’t believe John the Baptist was a forerunner for Jesus, that’s a Christian belief. Matronymicusage (talk) 02:42, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
