Coverage

[edit]

G'day, per the request at WP:MHA I have updated the article checklist to show that structure has been met. I'm not sure about coverage, though. For instance, the article doesn't really explain what a relief landing ground is/was: was it just a grass airstrip? If so, maybe this could be explained. It says that by 1942 it had been redeveloped to full RGL standard. This implies that it wasn't that before, so what was it before? Also, how long was the field? This could possibly be added to the prose. A more complete picture of the types of operations and aircraft flown from it could probably also be provided. Were there any attacks on the airbase during the war, or serious accidents? Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 22:40, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have added more information relating to coverage and fixed the referencing, so I am now replacing the article for assessment. Thanks for the suggestions. Gavbadger (talk) 23:53, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
G'day, Gav. Your changes look good. I will let someone else do the reassessment, though, just to confirm we are on the right track. Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 01:03, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Needs more information when the airfield was decommissioned and sold off to estates, etc., to be complete. B1, though, is good.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 06:57, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
